Lamps from natural materials
Did you notice a massive return of furniture, accessories and lamps made out bent wood ? You can find them in almost every interior brand from H&M home , Tinekhome or Bloomingville. Last year Piet Hein Eek designed the limited-edition range for IKEA called Jassa. A collection of furniture and homeware based on traditional Indonesian and Vietnamese crafts. Seagrass and water hyacinth alongside bent bamboo, all the items represent a fusion of handmade aesthetics and mass-production techniques. I see all these products as a part of the trend called - Scandi Boho Style. It is the combination of Scandinavian simplicity and brightness, and the creative and artful touch of the Bohemian style. The key to every bohemian home is the mix&match of unique finds, vintage and ethnic objects and original fabrics.
Products made from natural materials fit just so perfect in this trend as they add a warmer and welcoming touch into a little bit cold Scandinavian white interiors. These lamps are also perfect if you love minimalism but want to add some more texture and soul into your home.

Natural & Green
Perfect for the Summer mood - fresh and light interiors.
All these arrangements make me feel so relaxed and comfortable. Light, natural materials with the touch of plants and greenery. What a beautiful simplicity! I think this way you can keep the summer inside for all year long, right? If you don’t like all white interiors so much, adding natural textures of wood and warm, cozy textiles will do the magic - believe me. I’m only not sure if I can let my two boys into such a crispy white and fresh spaces…. I can keep dreaming…

Monday Blues
Can you imagine that all the children's rooms and pictures I selected below are from different brands, countries and created by different people? They look so incredibly familiar, right? That’s what we call a trend. I can definitely see these contemporary Grey-Blue hues all around children's rooms at the moment. Baby Blue color is also very popular and I talked a bit about it here. I personally really like the combination of blue tones with natural wood elements, which gives this very modern color combination a nice cozy feeling. As you can see all the rooms are decorated with very similar color pallet, without any contrast or accents, which create a sophisticated, restful environment for children.
The last weeks I took a small break from blogging, but I really miss it and would like to come back to my old rhythm and sharing with you much more inspiration. I will try to do my best.
I wish you a good new week.

Contemporary toddler bedroom
It was a nice surprise to come across this modern room and spot our Rafa-kids XL shelf in it. Each time I see it in people homes I feel excited and inspired by the creativity and the personal touch. There are so many ways to use XL shelf around children’s room. This toddler bedroom belongs to a little boy called Thomas and was created by Terina Lyell from Oheightohnine. His parents asked an interior designer for a transformation of his room into a 'big boy' space. I like the contemporary look of the room with not so many elements. Sleeping corner with a toddler bed, a large shelf for books and toys, sitting corner and plenty of space to play. The color pallet is very calm with the dominant furniture in natural wood and white and a splash of dark blue here and there. If you would like to see how the room was looking before and read more about the project, you can step by Terina's blog here.
I wish you a nice new week!

Shelfie in child's room
Today I have for you a great storage idea with Rafa-kids XL shelf . What do you do with all the cuddly Forever Friends who belong to your child? Our ten years old Frank has such a big collection of cuddles that they hardly fit in his bed! And that’s not the end, as he likes to buy or get from time to time some new ones. The other day I thought that our XL shelf could be a perfect storage idea for it. Your child can see all of the favorite cuddles and then take the ones he/she would like to play or sleep with. You win two things - a beautiful decoration in a child’s room and good way to storage them…Of course, the shelf is suitable for displaying any other collection of your child. What could it be? lego, little dinosaurs, books, drawings …
Rafa-kids favorite Forever Friends:
I’m showing you two other children’s rooms with different ideas.

and a little Ollie’s room who is only 15-month-old : Mop_clothier
