Lotta Agaton for H&M home kids

It doesn’t happened often that well known interior stylist is creating images for children’s products. Or I don’t know about it, since the names of the stylists are most of the time not even mentioned in the production photos. When I discovered that one of my all time favourite Swedish Interior Stylist Lotta Agoton, made sets for the new H&M kids home collection I just wanted to show it to you. Lotta works for world know companies like String or Bolia, and create work for advertising agencies and newspapers both in Sweden and internationally. Her work is very inspiring and always up front with trends in my opinion.
This time we see her images created for “ Halloween “ kids party and decorated with textiles from Swedish giant H&M .  All the products are very bold and in simple three colours - black&grey and pink. Rugs, beddings and plenty of storage option - baskets in different sizes and colours. I really like the image with two girls , chilling in their beds.  A lovely mess and a “real” feel of how the children’s rooms normally look like….

Happy weekend!

Party time….

What a party time in my life at the moment!
My older son turned 9 on the 29th of September and today we celebrated birthday of our 5 years old Robert. I think you can imagine how much planning and arrangements it takes…. especially with entertaining a group of toddlers or a team of nine-year old. Well, I like the celebration vibe at home so much.  Decorating with garlands and balloons, makes me smile, so that’s why I’m showing you few of my favourite at the moment….The beautiful garlands are from Atelier Sukha's packed in celebration box and the stars and circles are from Engelpunt
Today we are also starting a 10 days school holiday.
I’m more than happy to slow down a bit and to get cosy and warm at home with my boys…

party hats from Engelpunt

party hats from Engel

Engel punt is one of my favourite Dutch brands if you will ask me about the perfect accessories for a party decoration. I think you probably already know their so popular Honeycomb and Pom Poms. Their slingers are also very nicely made and packed. I just discovered, that they came up with a new, simple product - colourful party hats! They are packed in a small envelope, so you can sent it or just use it for all your guests coming over to a party! The patterns and colours are cheerful - exactly what you might need.
  Happy Friday!

halloween ideas from H&M

We do not celebrate halloween with kids at our house, but I think the monster and batman theme for a children’s party/kids’ room is an universal idea, which can be used through whole year. I really like the simple look of the new home H&M collection for kids. We can see a touch of the traditional orange halloween colour, but with plenty of black&white accessories and a touch of grey. I think most of all the ideas you see on the pictures, we could make ourself with kids.  I have a weakness for bedding for kids and this simple batman pattern flying around can be perfect for some quick change in my boys’ room. Since last week we have in Rotterdam the biggest H&M store in Europe. I haven’t have time to go and have a look, but since they also carry the home collection I need to check it out soon.

When I saw this new big fish paper ballon, it reminded me of minirodini bedding set ;-) I liked the Japanese paper balloons for ages and I would get them from time to time ( mostly around my birthday)  They make such a beautiful and colorful decoration element in a room. I can assure you that they are not reaching my boys' room, but stay close to my desk.

If you are interested in some history, you can read it here : sistersguild
and if you would like to get them, which is not so easy! hereby few links :

Happy weekend to all of you!

Party decoration/ paper boats by Jurianne Matter

I really like the idea of making paper boats for the party and put inside some nice appetizer for kids. I saw it made for the first time by Jurianne Matter . She is a dutch designer making beautiful paper objects. You can make a paper boats from any paper you like, and give them your personal touch. Paper boats look really nice also hanging like garlands or on the plates...and it is so easy to make!

Have a nice weekend!
