House of Rebecca and Feestrijk

I spotted this charming and warm house of Rebecca, Kees & Siem in March issue of vtwonnen magazine. Feestrijk online shop run by Rebbeca has the same colorful and inviting atmosphere.
Together with her mother, she collects vintage furniture, accessories and toys at flea markets. She also produces herself some of the hand made products for her store. The room of her son Siem, has a very special selected finds. I really like the mix of modern design and vintage, with a touch of fresh colors of her pillows and plaids. For more special objects just step by her store : Feestrijk

Gerrit van Bakel toys and furniture for children

water table

 play house

Last night I discovered the world of the dutch artist/ designer/ scalpture Gerrit van Bakel ( 1943 -1984) and I just have to show it! His work is divided into three periods: an early period paintings and works on paper, the "multiplex period" furniture, children's toys and objects made of plywood and the "machine" period with kinetic art, machine-like objects made of steel (metal) and operating on natural forces such as sunlight, cold, rain and wind. It's just amazing. The small car on wheels remainds me so much of the shape of our R toddler bed

moodboard - drive

Today inspired by raw materials and black shiny cars.
In the mood for having a ride into some cool boy's room
Industrial style with black colors is always getting my attention.
Special finds: furniture, posters, factory accessories,
are all great elements to make a stylish boy's room.

If you find it a bit to strong with all the dark elements
then natural wood furniture, boxes and orange tones of textile, will add good touch to it.
What do you think?
