Lamps from natural materials
Did you notice a massive return of furniture, accessories and lamps made out bent wood ? You can find them in almost every interior brand from H&M home , Tinekhome or Bloomingville. Last year Piet Hein Eek designed the limited-edition range for IKEA called Jassa. A collection of furniture and homeware based on traditional Indonesian and Vietnamese crafts. Seagrass and water hyacinth alongside bent bamboo, all the items represent a fusion of handmade aesthetics and mass-production techniques. I see all these products as a part of the trend called - Scandi Boho Style. It is the combination of Scandinavian simplicity and brightness, and the creative and artful touch of the Bohemian style. The key to every bohemian home is the mix&match of unique finds, vintage and ethnic objects and original fabrics.
Products made from natural materials fit just so perfect in this trend as they add a warmer and welcoming touch into a little bit cold Scandinavian white interiors. These lamps are also perfect if you love minimalism but want to add some more texture and soul into your home.

Gender Neutral Children's rooms trend
Could you imagine the room of your child in a calm and neutral atmosphere, or you find it to much and a bit boring? The gender neutral children rooms are at the moment very popular, and I like it a lot. The other day, my six years old son was drawing something, and when I asked why he doesn’t use the pink color- he looked at me with this strange look, and said - “ mom - pink is for girls! “ I was angry, as this was definitely told to him by someone at school, and I’m far from accepting it.
Anyway, today we are escaping from colours in children’s rooms, and any generalisations what is for boys, and what for girls. Let’s enjoy these beautiful natural textures of wood, linen, cotton. I found this editorial on Zara Home and was positively surprised. Contemporary, with modern elements, kept humble and fresh. I wish to see such an inspiring children rooms more often!

Monday inspiration - botanical vibe for children’s room
I’m back with our Monday’s inspiration for children’s room. I find Spring time so inspiring and this season gives me such a good energy to change things at home. Nature is awake and the botanical trend seems just so perfect to bring also indoor. I wrote already some other post about greenery here: Green Wall.
Today I take inspiration form botanical prints and patterns which are such a wonderful motives to adopt in kids deco. Don’t’ you think? It doesn’t need to take a lot of time and costs much. We can put a wallpaper with floral pattern in small part of the room, or poster with floral motives, or get a bedding set and pillows with some floral details. If you have more space and patience, what about creating some real garden with your kids. We just started a little indoor garden with my 5 years old, and he just loves it. Every day he is checking if the little zucchini and broccoli are growing. It’s not only looking great but our kids learn to take care of it and grow little nature in their surrounding. Interesting, especially for the city kids, as mine. I think this is one of the greatest trends happening since a long time…..

Monday inspiration - gold ochre in children’s room
I think you have already noticed that my blog is taken by the Autumn colours and atmosphere.
Gold, mustard, gold ochre…
that’s the new tones suggested to be added to our wardrobe and home. Do you like this trend ? I’m still not sure if the golden ochre will become one of my favourite colours. From one side it is very calm and cosy colour but on the other side I think it always needs some company. It is going very well with different tones of pastels, like pink which gives it more life and with a touch of grey and blues becomes very sophisticated. I really like this children room created by Ensuus and the way she combined the gold ochre wall paint with kids accessories. Playful but at the same time not so childish any more, and a pleasure to look at. Would you be there to choose the mustard bedding for this winter season? Or just a warm wool blanket or sweeter would be sufficient ?

Sleepy Open Eyes - trend
In kids' garments and kids' deco I spot many graphic patterns with : Sleepy and Open eyes.
It’s sometimes difficult to find out which brand came first with a new idea. It happens that at the same time in different countries the same pattern pops out. I could see that collection of Spanish brand Bobo Chooses “ Who is coming for breakfast “ from last summer was very Eye-catching, but also the bedding from American brand Bla Bla kids with closed eyes is already on the market for a long time…
I can’t tell you, who was originally there…but we can just enjoy it, right?
I really like Sleepy eyes pattern on bedding and pillows. Perfect match, don’t you think? That’s why we have a beautiful new design added to Rafa-kids collection : These Sleepy eyes bedding set. I’m a fan of little Good night cushion, from Studiomeez for ages, but it seems that the designer doesn’t make it any more….This beautiful Bla Bla pillow on the other hand, will be available in Rafa-kids bedding and blankets collection very soon! How exiting!
Thank you for inspiration, photo’s credits:
