The project was made by Danish company Collect furniture, and made by kbhsnedker. They are making amazing kichens and other house furniture. Just check the craftsmanship! here :www.kbhsnedkeri.dk

Upon a Fold - paper heaven from Japan

' Junzo Terada, a Japanese illustrator and designer, is the creator of this fun collection of illustrated animal sculptures. His Magical Menagerie includes 20 different animals, each beautifully illustrated by Junzo, and ready to be popped out and slotted together – no scissors or glue required! .'

I came across this amazing australian based web shop, and I just couldn't  leave it! It is a heaven for people who love paper and Japanese design. Justine, (the owner of the shop) is  a graphic designer, and has a great passion for paper and collecting  paper goodness mainly from Japan. She said:
' I’m still busy cutting, folding and finding inspiration from paper artists and engineers. Whenever I come across a beautiful object made of paper I wish I had a place to put it on show for all to see and enjoy. So, ta-da,
here it is… Upon a Fold.' uponafold.com.

Toy – Plus and Minus by Bruno Munari

Bruno Munari was an Italian artist and designer, who contributed fundamentals to many fields of visual arts (painting, sculpture, film, industrial design, graphic design) and non visual arts (literature, poetry) with his research on games, didactic methods and creativity.

I got this great game, Plus and Minus, in a Balouga shop this weekend. It's a reprint of a Bruno Munari and Giovanni Belgrano collaborative game originally produced in 1970. The game consists of 72 cards, 48 of which have transparent backgrounds. The cards can be use to create new images and, "stimulate the child’s creative capacities" - the more the layers, the more complex the image. I know lots of adults that would enjoy this game as much as any child !
More about it here : corraini.it

Bruno Munari is also a designer of this amaizing bed.
You can read it about here abitacolo

Children shop in Paris - Balouga

Balouga is a small shop in Paris. A paradise for design classics and modern high quality objects for children. You can find here a big collection of chairs, and furniture. There is plenty of decoration for children rooms, and small design objects from famous designers like: Bruno Munari, Enzo Mari, Chalse en Rey Eems, Hary Bertoia and many others. The shop itself was for me a bit disappointing. With its really small, cramped space it does not give the justice to all this amazing objects, but the selection of things is definitely really impressive.
You can see it on internet  here www.balouga.com/

I bought there really special Plus and Minus game , from Bruno Monari, which I will show you later….
