I have a wakens for Japanese design furniture. I think its a mater of the pure look and minimal detail. You don't see much color used in their designs, so this paper-wood stools of drill-design make a little exemption. It is an experimental new material called PAPERWOOD. The ecologically-sensitive plywood was developed by this design studio and it is their own brand mark.
