I got so exited when I saw that Rikka from Weekdaycarnival & Emma from Emmasdesign 

were asked by Ferm Living company to make pictures with products from their new collection. 

Rikka is living in Helsinki, Emma in Stockolm and Ferm Living is based in Copenhagen! Why they would like to mix all of this? Well, because the two ladies are one of the leading design bloggers .  I'm such a big fan of Rikka style and her blog is on my list forever…it was really a wow effect when I saw those pictures, and don't know why it took me so long to show it here. What I like most about them? Of course the geometric , minimal style, but at the same time very playful look. I'm sure they had such a fun making it! 

Ferm Living even made whole new catalogue with the inspiring pictures the ladies made… Enjoy!

new bed sheets for F&R set in Rafa-kids collection

Do you know that mattresses and bed sheets sizes differ almost per country? 

I did not really pay attention to it for a long time but since Rafa-kids' beds travel to many destinations, I was confronted with a demand for it . So here we go, let's make parents' life a bit easer. We selected basic bed sheets and added them to Rafa-kids' bedding - blankets selection. I actually really like to put many mattresses above each other, and make a nice reading /plying corner for kids. Of course it was difficult not to select many colors, but I think you can easy add color with a nice bedding, pillows, and the bed sheets can stay a calm and basic.

At home I have a HUGE dino fan. He is 3 and already has bedding in dino pattern, T-shirts, trousers and of course small and big dinos all around the house to play with. He is even saying , that he is a dino himself (making a very cool noise too! ) …so you can imagine, why I have to show you THIS dinos wallpaper today!  New spring/summer collection from Sian Zeng’s  is a wonderful journey to a tropical land of mischievous Dinos with his magnetic wallpaper. The photos of Jon Day are so great and together with fresh and playful styling from Charlotte Love this is all just perfect. 

Hello March

Month of the new start for nature, awakening and coming back to life…

Last weekend I started first cleaning in the garden and

 I just feel how nature is almost ready to explode. 

We didn't have any real winter this year in The Netherlands, 

so I hope we will have fast warm and beautiful spring. very soon.

my favorite from new catalogue HK living

I'm getting into spring feeling, which means I would like to change things at home, clean , paint the walls and just refresh our space. The living room needs some serious changes! 

When I've seen the new HK living catalogue last week, I was very much inspired by the simple and minimal look. This Dutch brand is running since 2009, but most of the time their life style, was much more colorful and full of textures, this one is a bit 'cold' and its really appealing to me. I would love to hang this big ball in our living room! To hide and to read some magazines, and I think boys would get crazy about it too. New, big picture on the wall, is really needed here! I always liked the HK living hooks, I'm so surprise we didn't get them yet. I think we definitely need something new for our hall way. And the last small things, Lab Lamps - in different colors, especially black with yellow, look nice, when putted together.

COMING kids - Dutch furniture for kids

Coming kids is one of the leading companies which produces children furniture in The Netherlands. 

So what is the standard children's furniture looking out here? I will say sturdy and robust. In Dutch language it will be more " landelijk" , which I can simply translate : rustic - plattelands. Not really the minimal and elegant style,  I like the most. The checks pattern in textile in children's deco, is also something very " Dutch" . 

My favorite piece of furniture, from Coming kids collection is  "growing with child" changing room, which you can transform into desk or wardrobe. Very smart system and actually I haven't seen anything like that before. Great idea! 

OH LA LA

Today we are mixing big neon dots with stripes 

 just because according to Anne Hubert normal is boring!

Quirky, funny and full of energy is the world of French brand La Cerise sur le Gateau. I had the chance to see the new Spring/Summer 2014 collection, called Oh LA LA at the SHOWUP Amsterdam, beginning of February. It was difficult to miss this colorful stand with so many pillows, bedding and storage boxes. Together with Laurette ( other French company having children's furniture)  they introduced into their collection butterfly chair's in different patterns. Classic shape with a funny and playful textile, which I think can be a great addition of color in a child's room.

I hope sun shines where you are. That's what we all need after so many gray and rainy days.  I can't wait to put back all the winter clothes into the closet, radically clean our house and just be ready for Spring to come. The Stella Mccartney Spring/Summer 2014 kids collection gives me such a positive vibe. I like so much in her collection, the possibility to mix some of boys and girls garments. The energetic & neon shoes are so great too!

Do you like stripes?

 I think this timeless pattern can go so well each season and not only for clothes. 

Since I'm not a pastel person, and I can't stand pastel rooms, ( which I see at the moment a lot ! )  I think it would be great to mix the black&white stripes patterns with some energetic colors. What about yellow and peach ?  I really like the new spring collection of Macarons. They just use stripes together with sweet pastel and mustard colors, which looks beautiful!  I wish we could use more stripes in the interiors for kids. They are so playful.  I made this mood board with interior products for a modern girl's room to give you some ideas. I hope you like it as much as I do.
