I wish you all a good 2015! 

It feels so much like a new beginning and I  would like to clean, organise and change so many things….

I wish this year will be more planned and under control than the previous one. One of my new year’s resolution was to keep life more simple and to appreciate things we already have and cherish them every day.

Since yesterday’s terrible attack in Paris I didn’t feel like posting anything here, 

and have many mix feelings and thoughts at the moment, but as one of the illustrators we’ve lost said,  

 "Love is stronger than hate."  and I would like to stay with that for the coming year even more.

I can’t believe it’s already December and the year 2014 is about to finish soon.

 I still need some time, much more time…

I’m not a winter person , which can sit still and relax under a warm blanket…so my “ take it slow ” sign out here, has to remind me, that I should accully stop and appreciate all this months of hard working behind us.  December is very busy month at Rafa-kids, and last year we were totally into Christmas fever trying to send all orders on time and make all customers satisfied, but I wish we could take it a bit slow this time….I don’t know yet, how , but I will find out…..

I'm surprised , that I start to like delicate pink and I don’t know, 

if it’s because I see it so often at the moment, or I’m changing…

I'm a year older after my birthday last week. 

I like so much this time of the year with summer flowers, fruits and warm, long days. 

This pictures from lovelylife led me close to time when I was a little girl,

and use to make a crowns from flowers…..

Hello March

Month of the new start for nature, awakening and coming back to life…

Last weekend I started first cleaning in the garden and

 I just feel how nature is almost ready to explode. 

We didn't have any real winter this year in The Netherlands, 

so I hope we will have fast warm and beautiful spring. very soon.

colors in february from broste copengahen

I'm totally into this beautiful color pallet from Broste Copengahen for a new season. 

The white stones with textiles look so great…yellow, turquoise and different tones of pink. 

I'm so busy working on the Rafa-kids new furniture and some textile products which we will add to our collection in Spring…

It's time for some colors ! Looking for Spring so much!

Brands are showing their new catalogues for Spring/Summer 2014 and new color trends appear already… a bit overwhelming for me, so I decided to start the year with my small personal selection.

After two nice weeks at home with my boys, I need some time to get into the new rhythm, but I'm….

planing, dreaming and looking for the new to come! 

Rafa-kids is having a small clean up at our store, for the last items in our collection.  Now the junior bedding sets :  PAPER DOLL, CAR CARDS and beautiful black&white VISIONTEST, ( junior and adult) are discounted, and we wan't get more once the last one is sold out. 

This graphic iconic BIG calendar on the picture is designed by Massimo Vignelli in 1966, 

for American company Stending.

Hello October & dark toddler bed

I can't believe its already October, but I can definitely feel it , in the cold days we have out here. Monday, straight after Inside Design Amsterdam, we got new delivery of Rafa-kids beds, and it was very busy day to prepare all the pre-orders for our waiting customers. I know I don't had much time for blogging, but I missed it, and will try to get back to my week routine and bring some inspiration to you, more regularly. 

Today I play with dark Rafa-kids toddler bed and some dark colors. It feels good this time of the year, so cosy and comfortable. I really like the contrast of simple modern space and design with a touch of blue or mustard. I don't think my boys will let me paint any wall so dark, but we are definitely having few grey walls at home, also in our boys room. They are having now the dark set F&R in their room, and we are trying to adopt it with a bit of color.
