VTwonen plying with letters

The last vtwonen magazine JUN2013 it's so great! I really like the interior ideas with the theme : playing with letters. It's created by stylilst Cleo Scheulderman and photograph by James Stokes. The stonewashed linen bedding got a text made by hand. It gives such a personal touch to it. Making a letters from nails and thread, looks like a very easy to do. The colors choices and textures are so inspiring !

We designed the Rafa-kids furniture collection but I also wanted to have modern bedding to complement it. I wish I could have my own design, but it was a bit to long way to go…so that's why I decided to find a few unique scandinavian designers who make these great beddings. Believe me it wasn't easy to find something I liked! Modern, playful but not childish. The Vision test bedding set designed by Dorte Niedziella is definitely one of my favorite. I'm sure a child can enjoy it for a long time, but we the adults too! ;)

Every time I step by ColetteBream shop there is something new to discover. This time the organic blancets for children with simple and funny graphic touch. Its difficult not to like her way of photographing her product, so delicate and soft, she definitely knows how to bring you to a sleepy and safe time. Beautiful.

Have you already noticed the beautiful bedding from StrikAholic on Rafa-kids website?

Not only the modern pattern is interesting but also the colors. It took me some time to find something so special. In the last VTwonen  I have seen a lot of inspiration in pastel and I realized how nice the bedding will go with this color trend.  Dorte Niedziella designer from Denmark use her fascination of everyday graphics together with a sense of humor I really like.

I just have a little enough of triangles. They pop up on the wallpaper, rugs, pillows, mugs, plates and kitchen towels…. When the triangles abscission will be over? I'm ready for something new  ;-) what it will be?  It feels strange that Autumn/Winter catalogs are starting to come, I still want to have Summer! 

Sleeping time with Happydots

Two friends, two mothers, which know each other from their childhood. Friendship and passion which brought new brand Happydots to life.  I'm glad to see more and more small companies trying to bring to the market something special and unique. The new born company is based in Poland. Agata and Olga are taking care of all the design and production. They select the fabric, design the pattern, they will pack it nice for you. The website is not life yet, but you can find them on their Facebook page and send them an e-mail if you want something special for the sweet and happy sleeping time of your kids.

Finnish simplicity

If you see in magazines or on the internet some children room in bold colors it probably will be scandinavian one. Who would have the courage to paint a wall in child's room in black?  I'm not sure if I  could, but why not to try ones? ;-)

 Today I collect for you few Finnish and Swedish puffs and pillows with simple shapes and colors. 

Muovo is a Helsinki-based design studio found by Sanna Lehti and Anni Kääriä.  All Muovo products are manufactured in Finland. PaaPiidesign products are also coming from this nordic country, designed by Anniina Isokangas. She turned her passion for creating and crafting into business. She loves textile but also introduces postcards and posters. The yellow touch is from creative and always worth to visit Littleredstuga from Sweden and of course I couldn't miss my favorite Marimekko bedding set in this design collection.

Graphic and modern kid's bedding set

Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings extend they beautiful collection of adult size bedding " Color Block Bed Linen " also for set for children. I really like not only the colors but the fresh graphic pattern. That's why I also fall in love with the StrikAholic bedding which has this simple and modern look. It's really difficult to find such a modern looking accessories for kids, not sweet and childish. Many fine and simple motives like cars, horses, houses and people are design by Dorte Niedziella from Denmark. The bedding have a different colors and pattern on both size what make it even more fun!
