I had very stressful week so I’m looking so much for some soft and calm mood,

or at least a nice pillow to put my tired head on….

Bibelotte - travel collection

Bibelotte is a little Dutch brand, started by Jacoline de Meent in 2006. At the beginning it was just a shop which out grown into a brand with unique, hand made home accessories. Since they use a lot of different fabric with patterns, mostly very cheerful, it was not really my kind of thing . 

But! There is a change!  The new  “ travel collection ” is very elegant and beautifully styled with natural colours of plywood. Build up on a basis of light blue, petrol blue linen with sand and ocher accents.  Bibelotte is know for her very nice details, bedding which are made with zips in contrasting colours and use of a very good quality textile. Wall stickers are part of the new collection. Definitely “do not enter” is my favourite. 

room for sisters

I've noticed that there is many ideas for a single room for a child, 

but what happens if two kids are sharing one space ?

How we can keep it personal for each of them and at the same time create a unity ? 

Today I've made a little mood board for two girls sharing one room. They are sisters in similar age of 6-9 . I think It's good to buy the same big furniture pieces, like beds, storage, desks , and this will give the room a structure. With this good base, we can start to play with small accessories to express each child's personality. I really like this big letter shelves, which immediately personalize a corner of each girl.  We can also hang things above the beds: posters, drawings, dresses that the child likes and make the part of  the room more personal. Different bedding sets for each child, pillows,  will do the work too. Then will be good to devote a part of the room, which will be used 'together' . I've choose a tipi, but it can be a nice siting corner or just open space when the sisters can play ....

OH LA LA

Today we are mixing big neon dots with stripes 

 just because according to Anne Hubert normal is boring!

Quirky, funny and full of energy is the world of French brand La Cerise sur le Gateau. I had the chance to see the new Spring/Summer 2014 collection, called Oh LA LA at the SHOWUP Amsterdam, beginning of February. It was difficult to miss this colorful stand with so many pillows, bedding and storage boxes. Together with Laurette ( other French company having children's furniture)  they introduced into their collection butterfly chair's in different patterns. Classic shape with a funny and playful textile, which I think can be a great addition of color in a child's room.

Do you like stripes?

 I think this timeless pattern can go so well each season and not only for clothes. 

Since I'm not a pastel person, and I can't stand pastel rooms, ( which I see at the moment a lot ! )  I think it would be great to mix the black&white stripes patterns with some energetic colors. What about yellow and peach ?  I really like the new spring collection of Macarons. They just use stripes together with sweet pastel and mustard colors, which looks beautiful!  I wish we could use more stripes in the interiors for kids. They are so playful.  I made this mood board with interior products for a modern girl's room to give you some ideas. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Antoine's & Leonor's room

Today we are going to visit cute room in Sweden - welcome into the World of Antoine & Leonor.

 I think you can feel and see that each of the elements was selected and put into this room with so much care and love. The creative mom behind this beautiful room  is Peggy who runs inspiring blog Paul&Paula. I'm so happy that she chose Rafa-kids toddler bed for her little boy Antoine. Later it will probably also be a sleeping place for her little girl  Leonor. What not to like about this room?  The wall display looks wonderful and is definitely my favorite element in this room and the tipi! yes, so many dreamy elements which I'm sure make the kids play around and enjoy their magic space.

yellow in H&M Home SS14

It looks like the yellow color in the interior accessories will stay with us in 2014.

 I just came across the new H&M collection for Spring/Summer and I can see that they are proposing plenty of affordable products in this color this year. I personally really like the black & white stripes, together with yellow, which makes this a very graphic and fresh combination. Yellow color with many tones of gray, linen , wool are also very nice idea. The H&M bedding collection with dots, has it's charm too, available in yellow, blue and black and white. We will stay definitely with the cool tigers for my boys room!

Have you already seen the latest H&M kids room collection ? 

 I'm not a big fun of giants, but I think they do pretty good many things, so it's always interesting to have a close look. H&M have chosen few themes for children rooms this season . One of theme is the wild world , with a loot of print animals and nature patterns. The second theme is circus with a strong graphics touch added to this collection.  I like some industrial elements in the children's rooms:   big metal letter on the wall in boy room  and  metal red chair and old coper bed in a girl room. 

My favorite is the little boy with a bear costume plying in his wonderful room! !  do you see all the indians accessories, maps , tent, case -  it's just difficult to not like it! They look so playful and cosy.

Getting green - Hello Monday!

The sun is shinning and our garden is finally all green! 
When I look at this beautiful Danish duvet set I think it fits so perfect to this season. So fresh and beautiful. Don't you think ? In the grass children can find many beautiful friends: birds, ladybugs, butterflies, snails and strawberries and much more! Let's invite nature to children's room too ! ;- )

Dark bedding set Island is coming soon….

I discovered this bedding set very recently and totally felt for it.

 Monday I got the sample of the fabric and this dark grey pillow. It is designd by Gunila Axén. 

The same designer who made the famous clouds pattern, which we already have at Rafa-kids. 

I think this Island will be so famous too !  ;-)  

Do you like the other colors? 

I'm totally into the dark one and really not sure about the others.
